With the show “Nothing is Lost” Serge Nicolaï and Olivia Corsini aim to orchestrate a collective creation. The show premiered in June 2018 at the Teatro Dimitri Academy and was created with a group of young international artists from Belgium, Switzerland, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil and China. A group of girls and boys imprisoned in a “huis-clos”, they reflect, clash, oscillate between despondency and the need for revolt, questioning themselves on the role of art, on violence, on the struggle and on which weapons are at their disposal to offer their present to the public. A show that celebrates the body, the youngsters and their ability to imagine the future.

Serge Nicolaï

Serge Nicolaï is an actor, director and set designer. Member of the Théâtre du Soleil since 1997, he worked as a set designer in the company’s last performances, obtaining the “Molière du meilleur décor“ for Le Dernier Caravansérail in 2005. As an actor he works with Robert Lepage, Irina Brook, Petra Costa, Tonino de Bernardi and Ariane Mnouchkine. , with whom he plays the role of Macbeth. In 2015 he presented at the Film Festival in Locarno, the documentary Olmo & the Seagull, together with his partner and actress Olivia Corsini. He is currently the artistic and pedagogical manager of the ARIA (Association des Rencontres Internationales Artistiques) in Staggiona (Corsica).

Olivia Corsini

Olivia Corsini, an actress graduated from the Civic School of Theater Paolo Grassi in Milan, was then formed independently by artists such as Tina Nilsen, Julie Anne Stanzak (Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Baush), Kim Duk Soo, Carolyn Carlson, Emma Dante, Julien Gosselin. For two years she worked with the international company ‘Teatro de los Sentidos’, directed in Spain by Colombian director Enrique Vargas. In 2002 she joined the Théâtre du Soleil company of Ariane Mnouchkine and played an important role in the creation and execution of several projects: Le dernier Caravanesérail, Les Ephémèrese, Les naufragés du fol espoir. In the cinema, she plays in the latest films by Ariane Mnouchkine and Tonino de Bernardi. She is the protagonist and co-author of the docu-fiction Olmo and the Seagull, directed by Petra Costa and Lea Globe. In 2017 she co-founded with Serge Nicolaï, the company The Wild Donkeys.

Teatro Dimitri

The Teatro Dimitri (Dimitri Theater) was founded in 1971 by Clown Dimitri and his wife Gunda. In 1975 the Theater Academy ‘Teatro Dimitri’ was born. The Academy opens a space where young artists can explore and recombine the artistic potential of distinct forms such as theatre, dance and circus. In 2006 the Academy was officially affiliated with SUPSI – University of Applied Sciences of Italian Switzerland – and over time has amplified its rich educational background.
