It is with joy that I share this widespread programme that is the result of concrete experiences and a reflection on the meaning of becoming, and on the artistic production in the environment we live in.
The artists involved produce a quantity of imaginaries that significantly alter the habitat around us and we are therefore pervaded by these imaginaries that rewrite our desires and actions. This edition of CROSS is renewed in format and actions. In a single programme we present Performances, Events, Training through Courses and Workshops, Residencies and Performing Visions thanks to the many artists involved in the projects jointly shared with numerous partners.
Once again this year, moved by a nomadism that distinguishes us and thanks to an extraordinary team, we will be touching on the cities of Verbania and Ameno, to which we will add an event in Miasino and a day of celebration and reflection at the Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre (Bee), a place of Buddhist worship, but also a place of thought and practices that bring us closer to a clearer and more aware reading of world we live in. The 2023 programme addresses new distances between Art and the real, it feeds on infinite iconologies, on imaginaries elsewhere forgotten, and we are confronted with two totemic events of our times: the Nature that surrounds us and the search for Truth for a reinterpretation of everyday life that reconstructs a narrative apparatus in which to reinvent ‘fairytales’; and rediscover the sense of community and being together.
This programme is the result of the collaboration with the Verbania and Ameno Administrations, attentive and open to change, the charismatic and enlightened figure of Lama Michel Rimpoche, Master of Wisdom and example of Life, the project partners and supporting bodies who are tireless and confident in the change in which we are moving.
