Garden Alchemy is a multimedia, interactive, and tactile experience, a garden built within the architecture of the Evangelical Methodist Church of Verbania. It is a dynamic, shared playground where music, hand-painted animation, and immersive installations coexist in harmony. The project explores human relationships as an ecological act: What does it truly mean to "encounter" another? What kinds of encounters do we wish to nurture for the future? Visitors are free to move through the space in quiet contemplation or be guided by performers, who subtly activate unique and intriguing interactions such as looking through a kaleidoscope together. This audiovisual environment becomes even more immersive with the integration of a Virtual Reality experience. Through VR headsets, visitors discover that their bodies are not solid but composed of particles, leaves that flutter in the air and merge into a symphony of colors. It’s like swimming in an ocean while becoming the ocean itself.

TinDrum is a production company and research & development studio for film, animation, multimedia and VR founded by Uri and Michelle Kranot. The art practice straddles experimental genres and unfamiliar mediums, fusing handmade crafted images and new technologies into contemporary experiences. Frequently characterized by a poetic sensibility and fragmented narratives, exploring past and present, fact and fiction. They enjoy collaborative projects and experimentation across disciplines. Both are members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Académie des César. They have been honored with the Grand Jury Prize for Best VR Immersive Work at the 77th La Biennale di Venezia and Best Immersive XR at the 74th Cannes Film Festival, and the Creative Climate Leadership award.
Art of Listening works with immersive performing arts since more than 20 years. Specialized in and developed aesthetic tools that allow people to experience reality from a bigger perspective and engage with a greater sense of meaning and connectedness. They work collaboratively, across sectors, with both individuals and institutions. Their work has grown out of collaborations with architects, philosophers, culture workers, priests, city planners, communities, schools, libraries and museums. Art of Listening is an action squad to understand how the aesthetic, poetic and philosophical approach developed by theatre company, Carte Blanche, over its more than 20 year history, can have relevance and impact beyond a strict ‘theatre’ or even ‘arts’ context.
