Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomie Spirituali (spiritual anatomies) is the second stage of Raphael Bianco's Ergo Sum project for EgriBiancoDanza, dedicated to the concept of existence and inspired by the insights of great thinkers. The work pays homage to Leonardo on the 500th anniversary of his death and explores the body between immobility and movement, as in a process of anatomical dissection that generates surreal, poetic and even comical images. The choreography draws inspiration from anatomical drawings and the Vitruvian Man, recalling Laban's kinesphere and the relationship between muscles, proportions and emotions. The performance is divided into three parts that reflect on the body, motion and the human condition. The sound dimension combines the minimalist music of Alessandro Cortini, natural sounds and Renaissance references.
EgriBiancoDanza Company, founded in 1998 by Susanna Egri and Raphael Bianco, has distinguished itself over the years for creations of social and spiritual value and for a strong versatility that has made it the leading choreographic production in Piedmont. Directed by Raphael Bianco, the company is composed of dancers with high-level professional experience and maintains a contemporary repertoire featuring works by Bianco and other authors. It has achieved success in numerous national and international festivals and theatres. In 2025 the Fondazione Egri per la Danza / EgriBiancoDanza Company was recognized as a CRID (Centro di Rilevante Interesse per la Danza – Centre of Significant Interest for Dance) by the Italian Ministry of Culture.
