Botanica is the title of the second album by the Deproducers. After having dedicated their previous work (Planetario) to the stars and the universe, with Botanica the Deproducers have focused their attention on the Earth with an exceptional frontman on stage, Telmo Pievani, philosopher of biology and expert in the theory of evolution, author of numerous national and international publications in the field of the philosophy of science, and narrator of the show. The aim is to show that, just like human beings, plants have senses: they breathe and use their intelligence to implement complex strategies for surviving, growing, thriving and even communicating. In the lyrics of their songs (the titles are illuminating: Green Planet, Photosynthesis, Roots, Modular Vegetation, Deforestation, etc.) the Deproducers tell of the magic of the plant world and its importance for our own survival.
