A subjective view on the character of Sonja, a journey through the written pages of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. The scene evokes the daily family drama and its repetition of ” the play “, from which the character distances herself to get in touch with her inner movement and give voice to her invisible, unexpressed part.
“I felt touched by the character of Sonja as if this feminine soul resonated in my depths, a strange feeling of closeness and astonishment … with no little tragicomic courage I took my first steps towards her figure of missed desires, with her gaze turned towards the sky. Moved by the sensation of glimpsing a very subtle vein suspended, poised between the yearning for the sublime and its inevitable stumbling, I meet an inner place that is other, poetic and ironic, on the s-graceful condition of the human being”.

Special thanks to Danio Manfredini and Doriana Crema and to the whiff of Raffaella Giordano

Tardito/Rendina company was born from the meeting of dancers/choreographers Federica Tardito and Aldo Rendina, who have a recognized professional experience as performers with choreographers such as Raffaella Giordano, Giorgio Rossi, Roberto Castello, Anna Sagna, Claude Coldy, Georges Appaix and Pierre Byland.
They have in common aspects of their artistic and educational experience: a past of professional nomadism but above all the desire to confront themselves with the authorship’s creation.
